Affiliation of societies and organizations
The PTS welcomes all societies from North America, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America regions whose mission and objectives are injury and violence prevention, treatment and care of injured patients, and study of the disease known as trauma.
Individuals from North America, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America whose mission and goals are injury and violence prevention, treatment and care of injured patients, and study of the disease known as trauma are welcome to join PTS.
The PTS offers affiliated societies and members the opportunity to exchange scientific and clinical information related to trauma, critical care, and emergency surgery and to build professional networks with leaders and experts in trauma, critical care, and emergency surgery.
Affiliated societies to the PTS can share events and special announcements of their society through the PTS communication systems.
Renewal Timing at PTS
Uniform Renewal Cycle for All Members: All members follow the same renewal timeline, with a universal renewal date of January 15. This applies to everyone, regardless of when they initially joined the organization.
Renewal Deadline: Members will receive three reminders before the January 15 renewal date. If the membership fee is not paid by January 29, members will receive a notice via email, indicating a grace period. If renewal is not completed by the end of January, the membership will be automatically considered lapsed or suspended.
Auto-Renewal Option: PTS offers an automatic renewal option, enabling members to opt in to recurring dues payments. This feature helps members stay current with their memberships and avoid suspension.

The Panamerican Trauma Society seeks to encourage the exchange of knowledge and information between and among physicians, nurses, prehospital providers, and other health care personnel who take care of injured patients in North, Central, and South America.
